Membership in Youngset Cooperative Preschool follows the following registration policies:
- Membership shall be available without regard to race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or national origin.
- A child shall be eligible for enrollment in the three year old class if he/she has turned three by September 1st and the four-year-old class if he/she has turned four by September 1st.
- Classes shall be filled by returning students, children from Youngset’s Alumni siblings and parents, and children from the waiting list by order of inquiry. Youngset alumni families qualify for priority registration providing they place the prospective student on the waiting list six months from date of birth, date of adoption or of an older sibling entering Youngset.
- Every volunteer will be required to have a criminal background check.
In order to register your child, please complete the waitlist application as it determines placement for the following school year. We do allow you to fill out the waitlist application as early as date of birth. Your waitlist application will be processed in the order it is received. Openings in all classes are filled from the waitlist through the end of the calendar year.
FAQ: Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes, children entering both the junior and senior classes need to be out of diapers and pull-ups. If your child has special toileting needs, please contact the class teacher prior to enrollment.
